Vehicle Spotlight -- Erik's 350z Track Car

Erik came to us with this build with the goal of making this car a reliable track day car he could enjoy on the weekends as he develops his driving skills for competition.  Erik had recently purchased the vehicle from an owner that had already started prepping it for the track...so Erik already had gotten a good head start!

Erik started the transformation with a brand new VQ35DE motor with a slew of new parts to make the car reliable and safe.  Installs performed here at Fontana Nissan by Technician Guy Franzen.

We asked Erik a few questions about himself and the car, and this how it went!

When Dennis came to us with his brand new Nismo 370z, he wanted to make his suspension a little more comfortable, yet not lose any performance...the solution was simple...he really can have both with the KW V3 Coilovers.  He paired those with a set of Hotchkis Sway bars and SPC adjustable arms and now he's got a better ride and performance ready for the track!

We asked Dennis a few questions about himself and his ride:

Tell us about your build, how have you modified it?  2011 Nismo #0128 / Brilliant Silver / SPC Full Camber Kit Front & Rear / German Made KW V3 Shocks, Height Adjustable with Damping Technology and Individually Adjustable for Rebound & Compression / Hotchkis Front & Rear Sway Bars/ GT-R Start Button / Forged Performance Shift Knob / Custom Overflow Tank.

Gil's Truck Taken To a New Frontier!

Tell us about your build, how have you modified it?
I had BTF build this when I was working in Iraq. It's back halved (frame cut behind cab) with mezzanine arms. I went with mezzanine arms over the traditional link set up because I didn't want to cut the cab to keep a good motion ratio (Shock movement:wheel movement) the other advantage to this set up is the weight of the arms are out side the frame behind the axle changing my center of gravity back further. I'm running a junk yard Ford 9 inch with 4:56 gears and Wilwoods brakes all the way around. King shocks front and back. Titan front diff with a BTF long travel kit up front. Jim Wolf Tech clutch and flywheel. It's on Nitto Trail Grapplers with BTR wheels. I am sure there is some stuff I am missing.
Who makes the best hamburger? Astro Burger or Fat Burger..
What’s your favorite modification? The roll cage. It a mod I hope to never use but I am happy it is there.
Do you regret any of your mods? Nope..no regrets..
