OFF TO THE PAINT SHOP!!! K&W AUTOBODY — DIAMOND BAR, CA

OFF TO THE PAINT SHOP!!! K&W AUTOBODY — DIAMOND BAR, CA

Time for the biggest step, and probably the most dramatic…its time for paint!!  When deciding where to take the car for its dramatic transformation, only one shop came to mind… K&W Autobody in Diamond Bar, CA.

K&W Autobody was established in 1987. Originally located on Alvarado Blvd. in the Rampart District of Los Angeles, CA. It was started as a family business and gradually became successful. K&W Autobody existed at that particular location for over a decade until the wonderful opportunity came about to relocate to the suburb of Los Angeles – Diamond Bar, CA in 2000.

We loaded the car up and headed down to Diamond Bar, CA to hand the car and the keys over to the guys at K&W Autobody.  They were ecstatic about teaming up with us on this project and with Kerryann.  When we showed up to drop the car off, sitting in their shop were a handful of Lamborghini’s, BMW’s, Formula Drift Cars, and many other high profile vehicles…knew we had made the right decision in whose hands to leave it with.

The guys immediately went to work in preparation for the new color change.

Updates on Paint…it’s coming along great!  The guys at K&W Autobody are really going above and beyond the call of duty on this job.  They just sent us some pics, the interior and exterior have gone to paint…can’t wait to see the finished piece!

Also a GREAT BIG THANKS to our friends at Seibon Carbon for teaming up on this project with a brand new Carbon Fiber Hood!!  It couldn’t have worked out more perfect as just a few weeks back, we were discussing the weight of the stock hood and how it is one of the first pieces we need to change out soon.

K&W Autobody doesn’t cut corners either, you’ll notice they even went as far as removing the entire dash in order to make sure the entire interior of the car was painted bright white!  The interior was definately in need of paint as we just had all of the Cage welds reinforced by our friend Robert Fuller of Robispec.  Robi went through every single weld in the entire cage and ground down and re-welded all of the joints to make sure this car will be safe on track.  Robert “Robi” Fuller of  Robispec will be setting up the suspension on this vehicle as well.  When it comes to making a car turn…we’d consider nobody else for the job.  Stay tuned for updates when we get to suspension!

Be sure to come see the final result at the Fontana Nissan Meet on Sunday August 1, 2010!!!!  Kerryann’s R32 will be on display at the K&W Autobody booth!
